FFL Transfer Guide

Ordering an FN Scar online is simple, but U.S. federal regulations require that the final transfer of the firearm be completed through a licensed firearms dealer. If you are new to the FFL (Federal Firearms License) process, the steps below will guide you clearly so your FN Scar is delivered safely and in full compliance.

Step 1: Choose a Licensed FFL Dealer Near You
Firearms cannot be shipped directly to a residential address. You must select a local gun shop, pawn shop, or independent FFL holder who will receive the firearm and complete the legal transfer.

Tip: Search online for an “FFL Locator” or use Google Maps reviews to find a reputable dealer near you.

Transfer Fee: Most dealers charge a handling fee, typically between $25–$50, paid directly to them — not to our store.

 

Step 2: Complete Your Purchase
Order your preferred FN Scar model through our secure checkout system.

During checkout, you can enter your chosen dealer’s contact details.

If you have not selected a dealer yet, you can still place your order and send the dealer information afterward via email at sales@fnscar.com.

Step 3: Dealer License Submission
Before shipment can be processed, we must receive a valid copy of your selected dealer’s FFL license.

Ask your dealer to email their license to sales@fnscar.com

Subject Line: Include your Full Name and Order Number for faster processing.

All licenses are verified through the official ATF FFL EZ Check system before shipment approval.

Step 4: Shipment & Tracking
Once verification is complete, your FN Scar will be securely packaged and shipped via insured ground delivery. A tracking number will be provided so you can monitor the shipment until it arrives at your selected FFL dealer.

 

Step 5: Pickup and Background Check
Once your dealer receives and logs the firearm, they will notify you for pickup. At the dealership, you will:

  • Inspect the firearm to confirm it matches your order
  • Complete ATF Form 4473 for the federal background check
  • Finalize the transfer and take possession upon approval

International Shipping
We offer international shipping in compliance with applicable export regulations and destination-country import laws. All international orders are reviewed individually before approval.

  • Additional permits, documentation, or customs duties may apply
  • Shipments are fully insured and tracked through licensed import partners
